Governor: Republicans tried to tax workers comp premiums, “sneaking [...] language into the bill in the dark of night”
KFBB in Great Falls reported Governor Schweitzer used his line-item veto authority on Wednesday, May 4th, to strike a provision embedded in House budget bill 604. The provision would have levied a 2.75 percent tax on workers’ compensation insurance to pay off an account from the old State Fund insurance program. more
